"In the small world of people who train dogs to sniff cancer, a little-known Northern California clinic has made a big claim: that it has trained five dogs - three Labradors and two Portuguese water dogs - to detect lung cancer in the breath of cancer sufferers with 99 percent accuracy." Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf took office as Liberia's first elected female president and as Africa's first elected female head of state. Go Ellen!
In Chile...
Michelle Bachelet promises 'understanding, tolerance' as Chile's first woman president.
Let's hope they both get a chance to make a difference. A good difference. My hopes are with both of them.
