MAKE THE DAYS COUNT! THE END OF THE YEAR IS NEAR.

The Night after Christmas our guests went home.
The time went too fast. The holiday has passed.
It was nice. But too short! :-/

MOM'S BOOK AND MOVIE REVIEW
the five people you meet in heaven

If you haven't read this little gem yet,
take it from this Mom.
This is a good book and a quick read!
Written with an economy of words.
Well worth a bit of your time.
Mitch Albom is a good writer.
He has something to say.
.......

Here are a few passages I wanted to share with you:
Some words to ponder. And good for discussion.

"All parents damage their children. It cannot be helped. Youth, like pristine glass absorbs the prints of its handlers. Some parents smudge, others crack, a few shatter beyond repair."

And....

"Parents rarely let go of their children, so children let go of them. They move away. The moments that used to define them -a mother's approval, a father's nod -are covered by moments of their own accomplishments. It is not until much later, as the skin sags and the heart weakens, that children understand; their stories, and all their accomplishments, sit atop the stories of their mothers and fathers, stones upon stones, beneath the waters of their lives."
..............

MOM ALSO RECOMMENDS....
SPANGLISH

I want to see it again.
A beautiful touching little movie.
You'll care about all the characters
Go see it!
I'll go with you.
Then let's talk.
